The Papalote Group is one of the most popular theatrical groups for children. During the workshop, performances are staged on Puppet Street and there is not a home, hospital, school, library or museum that isn't somehow invaded by puppets and marionettes. Performances are held at any time of the day, though evenings are reserved for adults. The Teatro Papalote Dramaturgy Competition concludes with the awarding of the prizes. Artists from all over the world come to Matanzas to attend this puppeteer’s festival.
